Editing Tables

How to select, change and smooth cells in the VE, Lambda and Ignition tables — and the enrichment curves.

What it is

The VE, lambda and ignition tables are 16 × 16 grids you edit cell by cell. Every table page has the same op bar above it, and the same keyboard shortcuts. The enrichment cards use simpler curves with a smaller set of keys.

How to use it

Selecting

  • Click a cell to select it.
  • Drag, or Shift+click, to select a rectangle.
  • Ctrl+A selects all.
  • The arrow keys move the selection; Shift+arrows grow it.
  • Esc collapses a multi-cell selection to one cell; a second press clears it.

Changing

  • + / - nudge the whole selection by one step. Hold Shift for the large step.
  • Page Up / Page Down also nudge; hold Ctrl for the large step.
  • Enter opens a direct-entry box: type a value and it applies to every selected cell. For a single cell, Enter then moves the selection down.
Table Range Step Large step
VE 0–120 % 1 % 5 %
Lambda 0.50–2.00 0.01 0.05
Ignition −20° to +40° 0.5° 2°

The op bar

Control What it does
− + Adjust the selection by one step
value field + SET Put one value in every selected cell
% field + % Scale the selection (105 = +5 %)
INTERP Fill the interior linearly between the edge cells — horizontally, vertically or both, depending on the selection's shape
SMOOTH Average each cell with its neighbours
selection label Shows the size of the selection

Visual cues

Heat-map colours run blue (low) → ivory → amber → red (high). A tracer dot marks the operating point, and recently changed cells flash briefly.

Units

The axes and cells are shown in your chosen units, and edits happen in the displayed unit. A cell you didn't touch is never rewritten, so the AFR display doesn't round your λ values. See Options & Units.

Curves

The enrichment cards use curves instead of grids. On a single cell, use + / -, Left / Right, Enter and Esc.

Why it matters

Tables are where tuning happens. Knowing the tools — especially INTERP and SMOOTH — lets you change a whole region at once instead of cell by cell, and keep the surface smooth.

Rule of thumb

Change a block, not a cell, and smooth after — a lumpy table gives lumpy fuelling.

Watch out

There is no undo. Select before you scale, and save a tune before big changes (see Saving & Loading Tunes).

In the game

The tables are on the FUEL (VE), LAMBDA and IGNITION pages, each with the op bar above the grid. Tables stay editable in the demo build.
